On Ebay right now there are two Hohner Panthers in the tone of BCC#.  I just saw them.

Does anyone know of any accordions like that?  Does Hohner sell sets of reeds like that?

Tocayo This accordions are Irish tuned and you can not play them like the regular panthers or 3 row accordions. They don't have the accidentals and you can only play on 1 single row at a time. In other words you can  not play it across  the 3 rows. I have one and I used it to fool some of my accordion playing friends by not letting them see my fingers and play a polka all on 1 row. I ended up changing the reeds to FBE asordinada. Juan Santos

The BCC# tuning is a fully chromatic diatonic tuning that allows you to play easily in any key by playing across the rows. It is used mostly in Ireland and Scotland and others playing Celtic music but not by players in the southern US who play Tex-Mex types of music. The top-of-the line BCC# box is the Hohner Shand Morino, designed by Jimmy Shand who recorded several 100 tunes over his long career from 1933 thru the 1990's.
