It was indeed a great privilege to have spent some time at the Binci reed factory in Italy with the Binci family: Top picture L to R: Claudio, Luca, Paolo, (me), and Nicola Binci. Mr. Paolo is making a reed for me to show how the process is done. Very low tech, all by hand, many years of experience in perfecting their craft. This is very impressive work- Binci is used in some of the most prestigious accordions in the world. They are not cheap, if you want quality, it will cost you.

Are these the reeds that come on the Anacleto Hohners? How much would a set of these reeds cost for a 5 switch accordion?
Thanx for sharing pics.

Saludos

If it does not have the name Binci on the reed, then it is not made by this company. All of their reeds come with their name stamped on the top of the reed plate.

I asked for them specifically when I bought my accordion so I'm not sure how much I paid for the reeds alone...
