The current bid is $1,000.00 for too much for me and for a used Corona, even if it is a II...sorry, my opinion only, Chuco

HECTOR, are you saying that Corona IIIs are very expensive? I truly like the sound of all accordions, regardless of the Key, but to pay more for a III than others, I think I'll pass, lol...Thanks for the correction, Chuco

can someone let me know if this is true. I've heard that Corona III accordions are tuned for vallenato/colombian style music.

yes they are specifically wet tuned for Vallenato/Cumbia. I agree the Corona III is a better feeling and sounding instrument but only my opinion.

They are more expensive because they have three reeds per note instead of two, like the Corona II.

The Roman Numerals stands for the amount of reeds per note Corona II has two reeds per note and the Corona III has III.  To be more specific they are three MMM (M) stands for middle reeds for the range and type of the instrument.  Corona's use clarinet reeds, but there are many other types of reeds such as Saxophone, piccolo, bassoon, violin, ect....

Hope this helps

By the way it did not sell and was relisted. That is a very good deal as it comes with a hard case. I really wish I had the money it would be mine.
