Hi,

I'm looking for a drum machine to practice with, so that I play at the right speed.  I'd like to be able to have rancheras, valseadas, cumbias, boleros y huapangos on it.  My friend recommended a Roland R-5 or R-8.  I have no idea how to program these machines.  Does anyone have a recommendation as far as something that is easy to program?  or is it easy to learn to program them?

also, is there software for a Mac that would be better than purchasing a drum machine?

your help is very much appreciated!!
