I have a dumb question. I am a begginer accordion player and I was learning the intro to Tragos Amargos  on you tube by BIGSHOW71in the key of C/DO and I noticed that on the last adorno of the intro he plays an Eflat/Eb twice . Is this just a passing tone or am I missing something here because Eb is not in the C scale![confused][biggrin][biggrin]

It's a passing tone, meant to give it an bluesy sound

Thanks for the response Ruben. I guess I have to open my mind when it comes to the accordion. It just seemed so strange because so far in my learning the accordion it is the first time I have encountered a note out of the basic scale. Based on what i know about basic music theory I know it exists, but sometimes we tend to [biggrin][biggrin]ignore what is obvious. I did try the E note it it sounded terrible. lol

I know it sounds better on an "FBbEb" accordion than on a GCF.
