These dudes are good.  The guy in the background on the other accordion is the accordionist's Dad. He used to help us out on keyboard, at which he was a Beast. He's also a tremendous accordion player. He would give me pointers on accordion adornos.  He did an excellent job teaching his son.

Albert I just noticed something interesting. In the second Rola he switches to what appears to be a Compadre, but it says Beltrami on the bottom part??? Any clue?

Yeah, their last name is Beltran.  Rocky did a short stint with Grupo Mazz.  When you love to play the box you punish them bellows, je je.

I was 17 or 18 back in the early 70's. I played bass with Henry and the Glares. I remember we played at the same club somewhere in the Valley could have been Edinburg, Mcallen not sure but we opened the show for Carlos Guzman. I also got to play at El Baile Grande in Mcallen and opened the show for Freddie Martinez and Ramon Ayala at the same dance. New years eve 1971 we opened for Agapito Zuniga and for Agustine Ramirez at la Casa Blanca Laredo. Manymoons ago. lol[biggrin]

Ramiro, man you takin me back to those times.  I remember Henry had a rola about the dude having to go to the war (Vietnam where I was in 1970) and his best friend having his way with his girlfriend while he was serving overseas.  By the way, that wasn't me. I don't know if Juan de Leon was with Henry at the time.  de leon says he's the composer of the "El Pistolitas" cumbia. I used to go to the Baile Grande to dance and not to perform.

Man, I was a dumb 17-18 year old at the time. I did not realize  that at the time I was involved with the Onda Chicana de Orquestas. Wish I had taken pictures or kept some memorbillia La Rola se llamaba Sea por El Amor De Dios. I don't remember to many names. There was Henry, Molo the guitar player, Tiny was the keyboard layer he was called tiny because he was huge. I also remember Mario he went on  to sing for Grupo Romance.
