Saludos.

This year's NAMM was a great success. You know I saw Sinbad and thought "nah it's not him" but it was. Oh well my loss.

Working the Hohner booth is lots of fun and a great experience. I believe Hohner hit the nail on the head with Corona Extreme. The action is smooth, easy, and they're very light....and the sound is loud and classic Hohner. You know I played them for approx. 6 to 8 hours a day for four days and didn't feel tired.

The new "Tigres del Norte" model plays just as well as the others and provides the extra flash some players want. I can't wait for it to be officially released so I can see the final design. This box should make Jorge Hernandez proud!

The custom accordions are beautiful. The custom Compadre was impressive. I especially like the rhinestones. They add a new dimension to the visual appeal of the accordions while continuing to be a good value. There was a fire painted accordion there, that when Gilbert brought it out, it blew me away. I'm seriously thinking about getting me that box or one similar to it.

The piano accordions were also fun to play. The fun flash line has lots of pizzaz and plays great. The Morino speaks for itself. These boxes have such fine tuning that I could just imagine the labor and time it takes to craft and tune boxes like these.

It was lots of fun to see old friends and making new ones. Otoño, it's always a pleasure to see you. Gee Rabe is wonderful it was great to spend time with her again. Tara Linda, thank you for playing "fool's journey" for me in person....you're voice is intoxicating I really appreciated that. Cynni Rangel great playing and it was good to meet you. Now Terrance Simien is the man. He won me over as a fan for life. What a down to earth and all around nice person. He radiates his kindness when he plays and I think that is why he has so manys fans and accolades. He made me feel like I knew him for years and even invited me to Louisiana for some gumbo and jammin' time with him and his family. Gilbert as always thank you for the invitation. I had a great time.

I hope to see everyone next year!

Question, what model of accordion is the one  with the Stars and Stripes, I think I want to get me one like that or one with the Republic of Texas Flag
