Hello

Has anyone ever purchased reed blocks from Gabbanelli. I contacted the store and asked for a price, but I am unsure how the blocks arrive. I assume that if I order gcf reed blocks for a two tone accordions. They will send me the blocks ready to install in the accordions. I understand there maybe some fine tuning but there email leads me to believe that the blocks may arrive without the reeds installed. Has anyone done this before, what was your experience.

Thanks

You probably need to specify that you want them "ready to go" because some would call what you're asking for a set of reeds, whereas reed block can be just the wooden burros themselves. In my experience with Gabbanelli, you always want to be very clear on what you ask for and leave no room for interpretation.

I don't know how familiar you are with the 2 tone accordion reed setup but you have to specify if the blocks are # 1 &3 or # 2&4 because they are shaped different and the hole spacing is different between 1&3 and 2&4. So you need to open the accordion and order the numbers that are stamped on the key that you want to replace. That will save you a lot of problems trying to fit them in accordion.
