Hey Tim/Reyes Forum..........is it possible to replace the leather bass strap on my Hohner Panther with the nylon adjustable bass strap using the square bass strap caps with four screws.  I did not want to do any internal damage to the box with four screws on the top & bottom.  I appreciate any advice/help you can offer.  Thanks guys!

It worked on my Hohner Corona III. I believe the panther is similar in size... Check with Tim though.

You can replace the strap with the same one on the classic. The screw holes are spaced slightly more apart, so use one of the existing holes, and make a new hole for the other screw. You do not need to worry about sealing the old hole, because it's not open to the pressure side of the cabinet.

I just purchased one of those belts with the adjustable velcro. I took the screws and placed in the holes on the belt. I screwed one to a hole. Then, I pressed slightly "in" so the belt buckles a little. After that, I screwed the next hole with no problems.
