I've only owned one accordion from Russia, and I actually regret getting rid of it, I noticed that the boxes are very cheap but not made out of cheap products from China. I have a 3 row chromatic accordion on the way in the mail.

I have noticed that they sell, Piano accordion, Diatonic accordion and Chromatic accordions at a cheap price in the old USSR states. What do you guys think about this? Any input?russian accordion.jpg russian accordion.jpg

Hey Gino I don't know how cheap you can buy a chromatic accordiom from the russians but I have a 3 row red German weltmiester B system that I can sell you for $450 including shipping to lower 48 states. It's in excellent condition but I don't play b system chromatic and will sell it for what I paid for it. Let me know if you are interested so you won't have to buy from the enemy.

Russian instruments are pretty random in quality some really good stuff and pretty funky stuff.
You really need to play the things first since it is hard to tell what is new or old as they have not changed the look in years.
Some really beautiful instruments come out of Tula where they also make samovars.
