Well what can I say, a few minutes past midnight on May 7, 2009, Karlos Landin and I were given a rare treat to listen to Steve Jordan's mystery recordings. WOW! We were blown away by the incredible work Steve and his sons have recorded. I thought that being invited to his recording studio was a treat in itself, but having the privilege to listen first hand to the compilation of songs that keeps you at the edge of your seat and wondering what kind of surprise the next song will bring, is a once in a lifetime rare moment. I want to thank Steve Jordan for his hospitality and letting us be a part of history in the making. Steve has not said when this work will be released (100 songs), but when it comes out, you will know what i'm talking about.
Esteban Jordan III, Karlos Landin, Ricardo Jordan

GILBERT, no offense, either you are a big man or Steve is a very small man...   You/Karlos are very lucky men to have been at the onset of a great upcoming virtue.

I truly enjoy Steve's work and can't wait till his new efforts come out/surely shall be part of thousands who shall buy them.. His children look so very respectable young men/Steve/his wife seem  to have done a great parenting job.

Thanks for sharing. Say hello to Steve for me..Chuco

Gilbert,
Great story!  Check out the reel-to-reel tape recorder (i assume its a multi-track).  Now that's something you don't see used anymore- an analog recorder .  I bet those recordings sound out of this world.

Gilbert: Man 100 songs !  is this a 5 cd pack release?

Chuco:  I too think the same, I always thought that steve jordan was a tall man but seeing him next to Gilbert, like you said he's a big man.

SAL, I saw Steve in a program where they were featuring many of our (RAZA) great stars who played Rock and Roll. They had Santana/Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead and others.

Well, lo/behold, Steve was there also. He played a great Jazz number on his great sounding accordion. Did very well indeed. Didn't pay any attention to his height because he never did get close to the others, lol...  Chuco

I have only heard Steve's music and can't wait for this new material to surface. Gilbert is a tall dude.  Not sure how tall but over 6 feet for sure.

Of all the accordion players I would like to see chromatic or diatonic - Steve Jordan is my all time favorite.  The only time I have seen him is that small part he does in the Cheech and Chong movie..
I can't wait for these recordings to come out.

I agree with Russ

Steve Jordan is my all time favorite accordion player..

Once in a while a genius comes along ,and one with soul is even more of a rarity

Jordan has it in spades.
