I have a question about tuning a 3 switch 25 key Piano accordion. It has a LM reed setup. Do I tune both the low and high reed at 440 or follow the tuning for a MM reed setup where one is 440 and the other 444-443? I'm not looking for a dry sound.

You can get a wet tuning from a LM instrument but it is a bit odd sounding.
I have modified a few LM vintage italian instruments by removing the low reeds and replacing them with a M set of reeds from a salvaged instrument.
You will need to fill in the low reed chambers with a bit of wood to take a smaller reed.

You may also need to fill in the highest reed chambers to get rid of undesirable harmonics that will make it hard to tune. Just copy what you see behind the reeds in the M bank.
